Our basement flooded from a heavy thunderstorm 2 years after we bought the house (in Chicago).
Eveready installed their flood valve and pump system and we have not had any flooding since and that was 20 years ago.
I would suggest however calling a plumber to clean out your sewer drains every few years rather than relying solely on Eveready to do so as your pipes need a more thourough cleaning than what they do.

Ben, was prompt and the best service rep we’ve had from Eveready. All of our previous tech were good, but Ben stuck with job until things ran perfectly. We really appreciated his thoroughness.

We bought a house with their system in place that hadnt been serviced by the previous owner in years. They were wonderful, came out and explained everything to us (new to Chicago and to the idea of sewer backup systems) and helped get us back up and running. I highly recommend them.
