Care was impressive, but billing department is pathetic. Red Bud Regional was paid in full through Medicare and Medicare Supplement, yet they continue to send statements with a balance due. Called their billing department in early December, 2.5 months after date of service and they told me I had to send EOBs showing that nothing is owed. Upon pushing back telling them that they have the EOBs, they agreed. They do have the EOBs and nothing is due. Was told it would take 7-10 days to clear in their system. Fast forward over 30 days and they continue to send statements with a balance. Called their “off-shore” (their description, not mine) billing department again. Same thing. Will take 7 days to clear their system. Told them I need to speak with their supervisor, but need a reference number for the call. They provided a 35 digit reference number in less than 10 seconds. Got it all and repeated. Now I need to speak with your supervisor. Ok. Please hold. 5 minutes later, my call is cut off. How many seniors simply pay the bogus statement, not knowing any better? Again the care received at the facility was good, but due to their billing practices, avoid Red Bud Regional unless it’s a life or death emergency.
Just stopped in for some blood work today. Easy registration, 10 minute wait, and then Jen was ready to draw my blood. Most gentle blood draw ever! Jen, you’re the best!
