I'm not sure if Anita works in your studio, but she is beyond unprofessional. We had an appt set up, and I was off work early and called her to see her availability. I texted her as well at 2pm. I could see she read my text message and no response. I texted again and nothing. I finally texted that I didn't appreciate the lack of communication and will cancel. Instead of trying to make it better she sent me nasty messages.

Unfortunately, this doesn't allow me to not select a star, as this place doesn't deserve even one.
In retrospect, I should have left a long time ago, I honestly do not know what to say at this point, except the person who was cutting and coloring my hair was totally inept. She was malicious, continually would contradict herself, and would repeatedly deflect her lack of knowledge and state must be something I am doing incorrectly, yet I had never had the issues that were recurring anywhere else.
I contacted the color manufacturers regarding the continual issues with the color, she never made any attempt to identify why my hair was both bright orange and gold when it should have been mahogany brown. I found out that she was using a deposit only hair color which washed out after 14 or so shampoos. This I identified when I asked to see what she was using and found it was a temporary color, which I have never had anyone use anywhere else I ever went. When I questioned this the following month, she stood there and blatantly lied and stated something different, however, the boxes she brought out clearly indicated that it was temporary along with the manufacturer’s documentation. Both products she used (2 different manufacturing products), were producing identical results, yet she tried to claim it was shampoo or that I used well water, which I don't, and I have always used a premier shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair since I began coloring my hair, and never had a problem anywhere else, only this place
I have never been to a more unprofessional place in my life, more importantly repeated problems, horrific listening skills, continual one-upmanship, arrogance, and a lack of knowledge, in extremely basic cutting and shaping skills. Listening skills are very key in their profession, lying is also something you should never do, especially when items are very easily identified. Not once did she ever attempt to form any type of apology for completely screwing up the color or the cut. She also never stated "don't worry about paying this month, I know there have been a lot of problems". The smartest thing I did was walk away from a very shabby shop.
Well I see the owner who claims she went to Cosmetology School at 14 responded. What a complete joke. Hey Monika, BTW, State Law is 16 they do not let 8th graders as you stated go to Cosmetology School, you are a disgrace. Of course you are going to state "Never in 30 years has this happened". However, you stated a number of times you had other customers complaining about color related issues. You just don't get the fact that you do not know what you're doing and cannot accept constructive criticism. Let's put this to bed, you screwed up on both the color and cut, refused to listen, and once again deflecting that it was someone else and not you. You cannot even admit you screwed up and you are disgraceful.
BTW, I was speaking with both OYA and Kevin Murphy on a monthly basis. They felt that you were not using the correct product and repeatedly asked me to ask you to contact them, which you refused to do, Why, because you knew exactly what the issues were. You are slipshod and neglectful in your practice. I have full documentation from both manufacturers you were using: OYA and Kevin Murphy and BTW, you used Matrix So Color once and I had the same result. Yet I used SO Color for numerous years without an issue. Kevin Murphy stated numerous times the issue was you as you refused to open a support ticket. They felt it was malicious, yet you deflect. You are totally inept and to be brief you are a liar. I have full documented calls with both OYA and Kevin Murphy showing the issue was with you.

Monika, you are the BEST. You worked tirelessly during my daughter Cindy''s wedding. You started early early morning to late afternoon, and you made sure everyone in the wedding party and family looked spectacular. Not only did the hair last all day and night, but the make up you did was beautiful. We all looked naturally stunning. You are a 10 + star hair and make up stylist. THE BEST WEDDING HAIR AND MAKEUP ARTIST EVER!!!! Monika WOW'd all our guests. She traveled all the way to Virginia to make my bridesmaids and family look / feel their very best. The owner, Monica, is amazing and friendly. I've been able to set up an appointment the day of and have never had a problem there. Monica is honest and explained the process of going from red to blonde keeping my hair as healthy as possible. Prices are extremely reasonable and I highly recommend this place.
