I also feel I was cheated $85.00 service fee, & I never got a receipt by email. My fridge ice maker and bottom freezer was working, just the refrigerator section was 55-60 F. The guy who came in just looked at the back of my fridge & said that the little rust on the back panel is a factory faulty insulation. He didn't check any hoses for blocked ice or if the pressure is ok. He told me to buy new fridge. I unplugged the fridge for 20 hrs. with all doors open, plugged back in and within few hours the fridge reached desired temperatures. I would not recommend this shade company for any repair.

Told them on phone I think it’s bearings. So they scam me by coming out saying they can do nothing because replacing bearings is almost as much as a new washer! Showed me dirt around the barrel but refused to clean it. 70 bucks for absolutely nothing!!

I called this company to repair my refrigerator that was not cooling. The tech arrived on time. He took a single look inside the refrigerator, scanned the QR code inside, then stated it would be almost $700 to replace the motherboard. He did not further inspect the unit at all other than looking inside one time. I declined and had another company out who replaced a fan for less than 1/2 the price and it is now functioning. The Palos Heights appliance tech clearly was giving me the most expensive fix he could think of. I felt cheated out the $85 service fee. He was in my house for a total of 5 minutes. Do not use this company.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! These two workers were suppose to come and fix my refrigerator and instead charged me $335 to do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! They tried charging it with free on then tell me after the fact I need a new compressor which is going to be another $810 .... COMPLETE RIP OFFS!I’ll never use these fools again and neither should anyone else. Just remember you get what you pay for so save your money and don’t use these idiots.

We hired Palos Heights Appliance Repair because they are an in town business and our freezer temperature was fluctuating. They arrived within the window given when my wife called in the service. The my wife was home with the kids when the men arrived. They were in an unmarked white suv and were wearing uniform shirts from AE Factory Service. They diagnosed the problem as the Freon being low and the coils under the fridge being dirty. They charged my wife $625 to fill the Freon and clean the coils under the fridge with a snow brush. They basically took advantage of my wife being home alone and might as well have robbed her blind while they were at it. They advised to wait 24 hours before the freezer would get back down to temp, which sounded silly, but we waited the 24 hours. The next afternoon the temp in the freezer was still fluctuating and my wife called back to the office. She explained the situation and the person who answered the phone said “I have to transfer you to my manager”. She got to the person’s voicemail, which said all calls would be returned within 5 minutes. 30 minutes later the technicians who came out the day before called my wife back. I got on the phone with them and explained that it still was not working properly. They said they were on the way. They arrived about an hour later (Kudos for being prompt) and started looking into the problem again. They ended up having to call someone on the phone twice to help them figure out what was going on. They finally figured out that they overfilled the Freon the day before (probably didn’t even need any Freon added, just needed the coils cleaned). The fridge only calls for 6oz of Freon but they filled it to 10oz apparently. They ended up releasing the 4 oz of Freon into my kitchen because they didn’t have a recovery device and cleaned another set of coils with the snow brush that they missed the day before. If you’re interested in getting taken advantage of, these are the guys to call. We are probably going to dispute the charges on our credit card and file a complaint with the BBB and the Illinois AG Consumer Protection Division. Everywhere online says this repair averages around $175 when completed by a reputable company. I should have done more research before calling for repair but just didn’t have the time. I also should have checked out the warning in another review on google maps that they were overpriced and just a dispatch service that outsources their repairs.

Complete rip off. They sent some guy named Willie to ‘fix’ my refrigerator who conned me into spending over $600 on Freon only to find out from another technician there was nothing wrong with my refrigerator in the first place. They have not helped to rectify the situation. So I’m just now out $600 and Willie is going around ripping money off from plenty of others.Hire them if you feel like getting ripped off.
