Our 11 year old daughter is very musical and has been playing piano for years, but we weren’t sure where to turn when she expressed interest in voice lessons. Through a lot of research we landed on Our Music Institute and we couldn’t be more pleased. Our daughter loves her instructors and we were blown away by her recent recital. Rachel is also flexible and accommodating to schedule changes, which is very much appreciated. Highly recommend Our Music Institute!

For 17 years, 3 kids, 4 instruments (plus the band program), and more recitals, showcases and teachers than I can even remember now, we’ve been part of the OMI family. I can’t say enough good things about this music school. The owner/leadership team in Mike and Rachel is top-notch. The philosophy of the school is to meet the musicians and their families wherever they are, so that means that not only is every student mentored to help them grow to their greatest potential, but the families are also supported with flexibility, reasonable policies, and just plain friendliness. But most importantly, the teachers are amazing. They are all working musicians and the range of music styles they can support is huge. With 3 children, we’ve had different interests in our household. For example, I’ve seen one son play his guitar with his teacher’s band on stage at the House of Blues, and I’ve learned about the differences in classical piano composers’ style choices by eavesdropping on another son’s Zoom lessons. I love OMI and you will too!

We are having a fantastic experience here with our daughter taking voice lessons.
The instructor, Tam, is fantastic! She really values making sure the music connects with our daughter while fostering an environment that prizes creativity and expression.
And I can say that for the whole institute. They have gone out of their way to make an environment that is fun and engaging for the learner while focusing on fostering their expression and building their talents.

This place is the best! I've been taking bass and guitar lessons with Mike for over 5 years. He and the staff are fabulous, and it's not just lessons. They have weekly jam nights and semi-annual recitals and showcases where you can perform with other students, teachers, and professionals. I love the vibe and sense of community OMI offers. Great learning environment for kids and adults.

Our Music Institute is fantastic! We found OMI by accident while looking for a private piano teacher and it has been a great experience.
Our daughter (11) has been taking lessons there for a couple of years now and she loves it. Her teacher (Antonella) is very patient, encouraging and supportive. My son has tried piano (which wasn't his thing) and instead switched to drums which he really enjoys. OMI has a lot of really good options for kids and they offer adult lessons as well.
It's affordable, flexible and run by really kind people who are passionate about music and care about their students.

Our Music Institute is a fantastic music school! Both my children and I take lesson from them (piano and drums) and have been at the school for two years now and I have been very impressed with all the teachers we have worked with. Antonella is a wonderful piano teacher and human being. She is so encouraging and helpful with an incredible knowledge of the instrument (seriously, you would not believe her background). I started lessons with her after no playing for literal decades and she improved my skills more than I could have ever thought possible. She's also wonderful with my daughter, who was a true beginner 2 years ago and just played Mozart at the recital last weekend! Rachel, one of the owners of the school is a dream to interact with. They are on top of their stuff, very easy to reach and communicate with, understanding, caring and above all committed to their love of music and sharing that love and expertise with their students. I cannot say enough good things about this place. They cater to all skill levels as are evidenced by the myriad of opportunities they offer from beginner lessons to bands to jam sessions. I have been lucky enough to enjoy their jam sessions while my budding musician has lessons in the other room. If you are looking to learn a new instrument, hone your skills or just find other musicians to play with, this is the right place for you.

Our Music Institute is amazing! My daughter has been taking voice lessons there for almost 2 years. She loves it and has learned a lot – breathing, tempo, posture/composure, fantastic instructors who are very encouraging and patient. Learning to sing can be an intimidating experience. It takes guts to perform – especially solo – in front of an audience but my daughter has had tremendous growth. I expect her confidence and ability will continue to improve.
