My son attended the PHP program for screen addiction. He was at a point where he never wanted to walk away from a device. I chose SunCloud because they told me that they had significant experience with process addictions and could handle my son's needs. My other son had attended a PHP at Rogers and Compass so I was somewhat familiar with the general process. Within 3 days, there were clear red flags: My son came home talking about the new people he met and the significant amount of time that had just hanging out w/o doing anything structured. His main therapist seemed lost on even the. basics of helping him, and was then gone a week later. The psychiatrist was odd and unwilling to assist with the med that he prescribed that was getting rejected at the pharmacy. In the end, I was told they did not know how to help him.

I recently interned at Suncloud Health and was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional care provided by their staff. The professionalism and empathy displayed were remarkable, and it was clear that client-centered care is their top priority. Each interaction I observed was marked by genuine respect and a deep commitment to addressing individual needs, showcasing the staff's dedication to creating a supportive and nurturing environment. Given my firsthand experience, I would wholeheartedly recommend Suncloud Health to anyone seeking high-quality, compassionate care. The team's well-trained, client-focused approach ensures that every client receives attentive and respectful service. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Suncloud Health to my family and friends, confident they would receive the same outstanding care I witnessed during my internship. Dr. Olowe, LCSW

Stayed there for 34 days. Everything was amazing. You stay busy all day healing and learning. You cook. You go to meetings. You participate in mental health courses. All the BHA's are top of the line. Couldn't of stayed anywhere better. The nurses were all incredibly sweet and dutiful.

When it comes to navigating the tricky world of mental health, Suncloud is the #1 treatment center I recommend. Suncloud stands out from other treatment centers when it comes to meeting the needs of clients who are struggling and needing a higher level of care. They go above and beyond with communication and patient care and work with clients to find their best path for treatment. I have recommended them to clients in the past and have not been disappointed. Their care and compassion is unmatched.

went to suncloud around 2018. I remember dealing with a lot and not really “fitting in” with others. Therapy is different for everyone, so what works for me may not for others - but my main gripe will always be w the doctors and therapist. I was working full time to pay for my stay there and they told me I had to leave my job to continue treatment or leave the facility. I remember storming out sobbing, because I had already been facing people pushing me to the side in my life, and I reached out to get help and felt pushed to the side once again. Hopefully they’re better now, but this experience w them ruined my view on mental health care facilities and trust in medical professionals in general.

I was a patient in 2020/2021 for a total of 9 months. I've debated posting this review because maybe things have changed, however I feel strongly about making my experience known. Suncloud at that time was small and run by Dr Kim and her husband as well as a few staff. I was kept in PHP for months despite not making progress and falling deeper into unhealthy habits; they never once recommended a higher level of care and just kept me at that level. I had to be the one to question if my treatment was appropriate and they responded that they knew I needed residential for months but wanted me "to be the one to come to that conclusion". Suncloud made me sicker because sicker behavior was rewarded with more attention from staff. I was part of a group of patients who would be allowed to stay after hours, hear all the gossip about staff and patients, and essentially just stay in the same level of care indefinitely. We were frequently referred to as the "favorites" and it was a re-enactment of the broken family dynamic. We got to hear details about the mental illnesses/addictions of the staff. We had a reason to stay sick, and getting better felt like I was losing a "family". It has taken me years of therapy to undo all the damage Suncloud caused, and I have grown to realize that they convinced me I had an eating disorder and irrevocably changed my relationship with food. I am a type 1 diabetic and accidentally went into DKA months before I started at Suncloud, and they told me I was purposefully restricting insulin as a form of an eating disorder. The clinicians would not take my explanation as legitimate. The gaslighting was heavy, and I eventually just agreed with them and started believing what they said; after all, they were the clinicians in charge of my care. They even had other patients telling me I had an eating disorder in the process groups. Like they literally had them go around in a circle and tell me I had an eating disorder. There is a cult-like mentality behind Suncloud and their model of care. If you have a different opinion/experience you're wrong, all maladaptive behaviors are addictions and 12 step programs are the only way to getting clean. There were a few positives that came from my time at Suncloud, including some close friends and I even still see the nurse practitioner who was there at the time. I did end up getting better but that didn't come until I gained distance from Suncloud and was able to work through the trauma they put me through with other professionals. If you do choose to go to Suncloud, keep in mind that there is no evidence that 12 steps are the only approach to sobriety. Their approach is not the only one out there. I sincerely hope that they have changed and that my review is irrelevant for current patients, but I was there from the beginning and their foundation was built on abusive tactics and staff who were not well enough to be providing care (ie; actively using)

I went into SoundCloud broken and came out repaired. I was addicted, depressed, anxious, and self-harming, and SunCloud staff helped me improve all of that through amazing 1 on 1 counseling, 12 step and self-help groups, healthy socialization, medication, and tons of patience and quality care. Staff, with their humanistic, dedicated BHS/techs (Go Ana! Lara! Monica! Tee!), nurses (All staff exceptional!), therapists and psychiatrists (Go Kelly! Dr. Mehta!), and others, listened, coached, and educated, while showing great concern and interest in helping me become whole again. They worked hard to bring calm and mindfulness out in me and the other patients through psych, medical, substance, food, yoga, art, and queer therapies. Yes, there are rules and schedules, but they are fair, doable, and have obvious therapeutic purpose. Nope, you can't smoke, but you do have access to phones, computers, TV (with Netflix, Spotify, YouTube, Disney +, etc.), the outside, and fitness daily. While they have some temperature issues-- bring a sweater/hoodie no matter the time of year as parts of the place get chilly, it is clean and comfortable. Their yoga instructor (Go Whitney!), chef, food staff, and food are beyond wonderful. Outpatient/aftercare in Chicago was just as helpful and professional. It's my eight-month sobriety anniversary and I am still improving: I am working again, and I am grateful to be alive. Much of that I owe to SunCloud staff for lifting me back up, giving me the tools I needed, and teaching me to keep heading in the right direction. Please all staff know: You are making a difference and changing lives! If you really want help and are ready to work hard to make your life better-- something you've got to decide to do for yourself and then actually DO, I can't recommend a better team or agency to help you get there and stay there!

I miss SunCloud, that's how amazing this program is. Unfortunately I've been in the hospital psych ward a lot prior but this experience changed my life. I was there for a food addiction and eating disorder
