Avoid at all cost, this place is a scam. I have 23 credits of massages which they are attempting to not let me access. The customer service is anything but what its supposed to be. I spoke to Michelle and she ignored everything i was saying and just kept repeating that i need to keep paying to use the credits i already have.

I've usually had very positive experiences with Massage Envy, regardless of location, but today's experience was very disappointing. I booked a deep tissue massage in Northbrook. The therapist barely applied any pressure - probably the lightest massage I've ever had. Secondly, I had logged into the website to book, which showed a $120 promotional price for a 90-minute massage. I booked under that quote. When I got to the front desk after the massage, I learned there is a known issue with the website where it incorrectly quotes people who have been to a Massage Envy location in the past and that I, instead, owed $195. I was told it's a known issue but no path on fixing it and there is nothing the Front Desk person can do. I regretfully paid the $195.
It's bad enough to pay the price you were quoted for a massage that isn't what you asked for. It's even worse to be charged more than you expected because of a known issue with the company's website on top of that.
To me, very dishonest, felt rug-pulled. You should honor the price you quote people when they book a service and you should also fix the known issue. I think the majority of visitors here have a great experience, as evidenced by the reviews. Unfortunately, mine was extremely poor on several levels today.

Friendly staff at the desk, peaceful environment, great massage targeting my IT band issue. I booked a second appointment right away before they booked up. Total chill the rest of the day. Great value!

I went recently to get a massage and while massage therapist was pleasant, her technique was very poor. She literally just rubbed me. I booked a deep tissue massage. It was a general tap that I could have gotten off of the street. I contacted the front desk because I did not want to make my complaint as the lobby was full and impact the therapist’s future clientele. I explained it to the lady at the front desk and she did not show any concern and only said that she would share my message once I asked about next steps. I have been a member for years. I called back twice and believe my calls are being screened because the front desk associate wasn’t answering last week and then displayed attitude when I asked to speak with a manager. Initially , I just wanted to be heard and for the therapist to receive formalized feedback because the therapist was very polite. I don’t believe the manager has gotten my message because I have not received a call back. This is very upsetting.
