We had some extraordinary circumstances around obtaining a drivers license. With every step of the way Safe Start and all the employees helped us and were very knowledgeable. They helped us troubleshoot and honored their committments. When our child received his drivers license, the road test examiner expressed how impressed she was with our child's driving and wanted to know who taught him. Safe Start driving instructors are the best. ...thank you.

I only practiced driving seriously for about 3 months. I enrolled at Safe Start this January and that was also my first time driving on the main road. Even though I had 4 different instructors during my 8 hours of lessons, I can say it was all worth it.
I’m originally from the Philippines and moved here to the US a little over a year ago. The traffic rules are night and day compared to what I’m used to, so I was really anxious, especially since I had never driven any vehicle before.

Formerly known as Fresh Green Light. New owners renamed facility as Safe Start to train Drivers Ed classes to Teens and Adults. Classes offered in 15 weeks. Class instruction is 2 hours. Great team to work with for your teen. The office has 2 packages for driving time with the instructors. Teens/adults do need to have a permit prior to start driving lessons. The office staff will work with you to schedule rides with the instructors. Driving classes are offered weekdays and weekends in Northbrook and Lincolnshire.
The agency will work with you if your teen/adult has special learning skills and/or IEPs.
