About OSF Medical Group - Primary Care
OSF Medical Group - Primary Care receives consistent praise for its compassionate and skilled staff. Multiple reviews highlight exceptional care during blood draws, with specific staff noted for being gentle, communicative, and accommodating, transforming a typically stressful experience into a positive one. The practice is commended for listening to patients and taking decisive action, as in one case where a provider facilitated a swift specialist appointment for a severe wound. Patients report long-term, trusting relationships with their providers, describing them as amazing and wonderful for taking time to listen and ensure their well-being. The practice manages chronic conditions, including mental health and asthma, with care and effort, even amidst systemic challenges like specialist waitlists. While some reviews note occasional long waits, difficulty scheduling with a specific provider, or a preference among certain nurse practitioners, these are often contextualized within broader healthcare changes or safety protocols, particularly during COVID and pregnancy. The front staff is acknowledged for providing updates on delays. Overall, patients feel grateful for the care received, emphasizing that the providers make them feel safe, grounded, and known due to established long-term relationships and comprehensive medical history on record. The practice is appreciated for serving the community with dedication.
I would give Holly and Michelle more than 5 stars if I could. My veins are small and hard to see and they kept me calm and cracked jokes the entire time and got my blood drawn without poking or prodding me. I’ll make an appt to get my blood drawn by them every time.
Holly and Michelle gave me the best blood draw experience of my life today. I am a high faint risk during blood draws, I panic and it sometimes takes me hours to feel like myself again. They took such good care of me and I left the appointment feeling happy tears in my eyes for not having a panic attack for the first time in years after a blood draw. They were so gentle, communicative, and accommodating. I am so grateful for the time and effort they put in to make me feel safe and grounded. Thank you Holly and Michelle.
My dad had an acute injury last week from a horrible fall and ended up with a severe wound that was not healing properly. I was becoming very concerned about it and sadly he couldn’t get an appointment until after the holiday. I begged him to try and get a second opinion somewhere. He ended up here and I’m so glad he did. I’m not sure who exactly the medical provider was but please know how grateful we are for you making a call and getting my dad an appointment with the wound specialist today. It means a lot that he was listened to and given the care he needed. Thanks again for all that you did for my dad and all that you do to serve our community!!!
