“This was my first time trying acupuncture for tension that has built up in my body due to stress, anxiety, and depression. As a Black woman I wanted to be with someone that I can trust. Danielle was exactly that person! It is important for me to have a Black acupuncturist. She talked to me in length before we started and answered all of my questions. She is such a ray of sunshine. I fell asleep on the table and she gave me exactly what I needed. She called it "a big Buddha hug." I have had a second session at the time of this review and I fell asleep again. She placed the needles in my back for that session. Exactly, what I needed! I definitely feel less stressed and the tension and pain in my body is no longer there. I look forward to the next sessions! 10/10, HIGHLY recommend Danielle! Also, the receptionist is very kind and welcoming. Very nice environment.“

“I highly recommend Liz to anyone seeking treatment for back pain. When I made my first appointment, I had two herniated discs and l was in a lot of pain. Liz created a calming and relaxing environment and I felt relief after the first appointment. I received acupuncture on and off for about four months. Liz was always conscious of how many appointments I had left on my insurance and helped make a plan to space out the appointments appropriately. Thanks to Liz and physical therapy, I am no longer in pain and I'm back to normal physical activities like running and biking. If I am injured in the future I will not hesitate to call Liz.“

“I highly recommend Vijay Patel and his excellent staff at Advanced Physical Medicine and Therapy! Vijay has helped me with ongoing back issues. Recently, after being hospitalized with severe pain and being diagnosed with a bulging disc, Vijay has helped gain relief from much of the worst of the pain. Through his professional relationship with a pain clinic, he was able to get me in for an epidural a week sooner than the local hospital, which expected me to endure severe pain for an additional week.Minda, his registered Physical Therapist, is excellent too. Within days of starting PT with her, my pain has gone from a 7 to a 2, and I continue to improve mobility after spending nearly two weeks lying down with pain.“

“Dr. Dawn is truly amazing. This was my first experience with Acupuncture or Functional Medicine of any kind and I was initially very hesitant, even despite all of her positive reviews. I ended up opting for 10 session packages at a time, and I am currently on my fourth set in less than a year. Everything has been well worth it! After the first appointment, my chronic muscle and joint discomfort improved significantly, I finally felt peace in my body for the first time in decades. Dr. Dawn is truly passionate about what she does, which makes all the difference. She has a long term plan and idea of what larger systems to work on shifting, but is also incredibly responsive to what current complaints I’ve come in with, be it digestion, rough periods of anxiety or depression, physical aches and pains, fatigue, etc, and she will tend to both at once. One day I came in complaining of dry mouth, she put a needle somewhere in my foot and instantly I felt saliva bubble up under my tongue, it was so impressive! Any of the products or supplements she has recommended have been effective, and I’ve never felt “sold to” or pushed in any direction whatsoever. In fact, when she has had extra time she has added extra components to our session, just because they would be helpful, or sent me home with certain products to try free of charge. She has called several times in between sessions to check on how I’m feeling, and the support staff is all incredibly warm and kind. Everyone remembers you and I feel like I am treated like a human and not a patient. I feel very well taken care of, listened to, and respected in every part of my care there and have encouraged several friends or family to see her for their health needs. I truly cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Dawn or Metta Perspectives as a whole. I just wish I knew the amazing benefits and care I would receive here back when I was skeptical and spent months wondering if this was a good idea. I am so deeply grateful to have these wonderful people to help support me through my healing journey!“
