Julie and her team are amazing, they do a wonderful job with our giant breeds. Petco wasn’t able to get one our rescue in the bath because she was so scared but Julie and her team got her in there and took care of her (I think it was multiple people that have to get her in the tub because she’s 180 pounds!) I don’t know what the shampoo has in it but I think it’s made of gold because the dogs smell SO GOOD and for so long too, I’m talking at least a month these dogs smell like heaven!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! The only “downside” is that they book far out and book quickly but that’s a very good thing because you KNOW they have fans and people are willing to wait to get their dogs in here. We already booked for 6 months and 12 months so that we don’t forget until the last minute!
Huuuuuuge shoutout to Julies Pet Grooming on Church Street in New Lenox! Our dog Bear is a rescue that came with a lot of anxiety. She is an absolute sweetie-pie and gentle giant when she is at home. She feels safe there. But she feels very *unsafe* when she gets wet against her will, when almost anyone is touching her feet, when she’s feels confined, etc. etc. 😅 Getting groomed wraps all that up into a big NOPE from Bear. We have tried to work with other groomers and they have just turned her away. Shoot, we had a vet that wasn’t willing to work with her. Many people talk about rescues and how great it is, but when you have a hard-to-love rescue, that posture can go out the window. All of the ladies at Julie’s teamed up and worked with us to figure out ways to keep Bear calm enough to get the job done. They were so communicative, flexible, and understanding. They truly wanted what was best for Bear, and that included getting her washed, dried, trimmed, and clipped with compassion. While Bear isn’t volunteering to go back anytime soon 😂, I know they went above and beyond to get my girl cleaned up from head to toe-bean. Highly recommend!
