A few weeks ago, out of desperation, I made a total of 47 calls trying to find a doctor who would take the time to help me understand the overwhelming number of symptoms I was experiencing. After being dismissed by others and even being told that what I was feeling wasn’t real or possible, I was fortunate enough to have Dr. Imber return my call.
From our very first conversation, he told me that he was determined to figure out what was causing everything I was going through. Hearing those words gave me a sense of hope I hadn’t felt in a very long time. I ultimately flew in from out of state to see Dr. Imber and his team, and the care, compassion, and dedication they showed me were beyond anything I could have expected.
They took my concerns seriously, looked at the bigger picture, and made me feel like I was finally being treated as a person.
Even after I returned home states away, the support didn’t stop. I have continued to receive calls and assistance from the team, and knowing that they are still checking in and making sure I’m okay has meant more to me than I can put into words.
