The haircut was just okay. After finishing my 5-year-old’s haircut, the stylist offered him a lollipop. I politely said no. After receiving a $5 tip (which I felt was generous for the service), she proceeded to lecture me in front of my child, saying I should read the ingredients next time and that their candy is “all-natural and harmless.” My child was upset about not getting the candy, and I was frustrated by the unnecessary comment. With three metal teeth already, the last thing he needs is more sugar—especially the day before trick-or-treating. A little more professionalism and respect for a parent’s decision would go a long way.
I went back to this Great Clips location off of 75th St. in Naperville yesterday after not going for 9 years. Jen was my stylist and I really liked her. She listened to what went wrong with my last haircut at Great Clips in Bolingbrook and saw the differences in length and worked her magic to try to blend everything in to correct it. Bye bye Bolingbrook, you lost my business. Hello Jen, I’ll be back! I was very pleased with Jen as a stylist and the results.
