Heart Care Centers of Illinois is recognized for its excellent medical care and professional staff. Patients have praised Dr. Joseph Stella for his outstanding bedside manner and Dr. Prentice for his long-term, trusted care. Many express satisfaction with the procedures performed by Dr. Porter and the overall helpfulness of the staff. However, there were concerns about unprofessional behavior from a scheduling staff member, which affected the patient experience. Overall, the facility is highly recommended, with several patients expressing their intention to return for follow-up care due to the quality of care received.
My cardiologist, Dr. Yun and electrophysiologist, Dr. Kinder have returned my heart to near normal working condition after suffering a stroke in 2019 from undiagnosed Afib. I highly recommend this group of doctors who are wonderfully pro-active and provide state of the art care for all their patients.
I was the first one here and I was on time for my appointment, but I am still sitting here waiting while people who came in after me have already been seen and left. They called the first group, then the second group, and now even those people are gone while I am still here. This is not a one-time issue. This happens every single time I come here. I am tired of being overlooked and made to wait like my time does not matter. Enough is enough. I will be sticking with Northwestern from now on.
The quality of care by my husband’s cardiologist and my cardiologist, have been excellent, however, the office staff, the office supervisor and the lack of the 21 century computer technology have NOT been good.
We have had numerous problems getting our medications refilled with their office staff blaming the pharmacy for not transmitting (faxing) the refill requests appropriately.
Per the office supervisor, they have “problems with numerous pharmacies.”
As stated to the office supervisor, if there are numerous problems with numerous pharmacies faxing these requests, then it would appear that the real problem may be on the receiving end (Heart care)...read full review
