“THE BEST. I travel over an hour (each way!) to get my hair done by Erika. I first went to Erika when she was at a salon 5 minutes from my house. I had been highlighting my hair for 20 years and many different salons. I always had damage from highlighting and to combat the damage I tried everything - expensive shampoos, olaplex, satin pillow cases, washing less, not putting in ponytails, you name it. I tried doing a base bump in between each highlight appointment. Nothing worked. I originally went to Erika for cuts for a year and she would try to clean up the damage from highlighting. She probed me more about how my other salon was coloring and told me there was no need to constantly put highlights in all the time. You can touch up with base bumps and only do highlights a few times a year. I asked why no one ever told me this and realized it was because salons make so much more money from highlights and cross selling you all the products you need to try to fix the damage. Erika started doing more bare bumps and less highlights and a year later I had no damage and color just as bright and good as it was with highlights all the time. I could not believe that 20 years of highlights with at least 7 different salons and she was the first to be honest with me. Shortly after she told me the color trick, she moved to a salon in Mokena, so now I travel from the Oak Park River Forest area to go to Erika. She is simply the best. Amazing color and cuts. I will never go to anyone else!“

“Used Salon Rhapsody for my wedding make up for myself and my girls. The make up artists were so nice and helpful. Kristen and Sara. They were prompt, came prepared and got 9 girls done in under 4 hours. Love the staff but not in love with the slight unprofessionalism of the business as a whole. Never received a contract or any info in writing. I called to get confirmation that the girls were coming the day of my wedding and I even stopped in the business and she didn’t have my wedding sheet I filled out. Thankfully it all worked out.“
