Located 4 miles north of Millstadt, IL on Route 163, the farm is open 7 days a week during the spring and fall seasons. They also have a presence at the historic Soulard Farmers Market in St. Louis, MO on Fridays and Saturdays. Scharf Farm supplies produce to local restaurants, CSAs, and specialty grocers. I was after asparagus and rhubarb. They had both and they were very fresh. They had several types of potatoes, onions, blueberries, watermelon, other vegetables, and lots of flowers and plants.
My impulse stop turned into filling the back of my van completely with flowers. Everything was beautiful and healthy. Great variety and selection. Everyone there was friendly and extremely helpful. I just wish it was closer to home.
