I feel very happy after going to this barber shop yesterday to get ready for my IPA (Illinois Principals Association) student breakfast, which will be coming up. Unfortunately, I do not know the barber’s name, but he was very quick! I was mind-blown by how he was able to switch between tools, and he lined up my hair perfectly! I would love to come back to get ready for my 8th grade graduation!

Due to it being a holiday (Juneteenth), I experienced cancellations from two other barbers the day of my visit. At the time, it seemed as though there were none available in Chicago, but surely enough Ij's Cuts Barbershop was open. Via Booksy, I booked an appointment with Vito, and drove to Melrose Park all the way out from the west-side of Chicago after experiencing those two cancellations. Ij's Cuts Barbershop sits within a small strip of businesses along a trafficky North Ave. With the shop being a shared barber space, the vibe felt very lively with music blaring and commotion amongst barber to barber, and client to barber.
