I had a terrible experience with another dental office that ended with me sitting in a grocery store parking lot in tears and I was told to call Manteno family dental. The lady that took the call was absolutely so kind she got me in that same day after hearing my story, everybody in the office was so nice to me and Dr. Slevin was great. I didn’t feel like it was just a “write a check” visit that I’m used to. I am extremely appreciative.

Good guy Dr Slavin. Very compassionate and helpful local Dentist. Staff there very communicative and helped get me through services despite my relative reactivity and fears Has helped me many times afford care when I had no dental insurance. Linda the medical manager offered me an unsolicited cash discount which was super supportive at a time when I had no insurance and money was tight. Now that I do and am flush it is nice to have a local dentist right down the street. Some of the reviews here are pretty rachet, inappropriately belligerent. Don't believe them. Yes getting a call back can slip through the cracks. This office probably gets 200 phone calls a day. Anyone know any other dentist that publishes his cell phone for emergencies?

The dentist was great! The receptionist is just very rude. She seemed very bothered! She schedules your appointments without asking you what best works for the patient. I told her will I have to see my schedule first and I would ask her like the dates and times I could and they were are filled. I understand there's other patients, but while I was sitting there waiting for my kids she was on the phone and she had appointments available the same day for those patients. She really disappoint me. She can do better!!!!!!!!!!!

I AM VERY DISPPOINTED IN THE CARE MY UNCLE RECIEVED. FIRST AND FOREMOST HE SADLY PASSED AWAY. HE WENT TO SEE DR SLAVIN TO GET A NEW TOP DENTURE PLATE MADE. HE PAID OVER $4,000. HE PASSED ON A SATURDAY AND WAS SUPPOSED TO GO ON MONDAY TO GET HIS LAST FITTING FOR DENTURE PLATE WHICH THEY HAD NOT MADE YET. HE GAVE THEM $2,400 AS A DOWN PAYMENT. WHEN I CALLED TO ASK TO SEE IF ANY MONEY CAN BE RETURNED AS SEEING THEY DIDNT EVEN MAKE THE DENTURE THE RECEPTIONIST WAS VERY VERY RUDE AND SAID WE WERE NOT GETTING BACK BUT A COUPLE HUNDRED DUE TO ALL THE LAB FEES. IT DOES NOT COST $2,400 FOR LAB FEES WHEN THE DENTURE PLATE WAS NOT MADE. PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE GOING THERE THEY ARE NOT PERFESSIONAL AND ALSO HAVE NO COMPASSION AND CHARGE YOU FOR THINGS THAT WERE NOT DONE. Dr Slavin and his staff are incredible!!! I’ve been going to this dentist for years now and I will never go with anyone else! Everyone is so friendly and Dr. Slavin does such good work. Ive also started bringing my 4 year old daughter they were so sweet and told her everything they were doing I love that!! I would definitely recommend this dentist.

I didn't get a chance to do a review for this dentist. I see a bunch of people giving him a bad review. I don't think he's that bad. In fact he did great work with my teeth and I thought he was very friendly. This is my dentist of choice around this whole area. I'd trust him to get the job done right! He was very quick to get me in as a new patient. He fixed everything I needed done quickly but very well done. Ever since he had done work on my teeth I haven't had to go back. So I give him and his staff five stars. It's so hard to find a good dentist anymore. But if you want reliable dental work and great service come to Manteno dental!
