Just an overall poor experience with them. Quoted us a time frame of 6 weeks, took over 10 weeks and there was zero communication until I reached out asking why it was taking so long. Told us the job was done when clearly it wasn't. They replaced some of our gutters along with doing the roof and the gutters have had nothing but issues since they replaced them. They removed a downspout on one side of the house and now water just leaks from that corner. They used colored screws on white trim. Terrible communicators and sub-par finished work. Save yourself the trouble and find someone else.

Oct 2021 my husband fell off the scaffolding while doing our roof. Leaving me to find someone to finish the job before winter. I was desperate so even though Cory's estimate was very high and I felt he was taking advantage of my desperate situation I hired him to install shingles, sofit and facia plus take down the scaffolding. When they finally came to do the job Cory wanted payment before the job was done and without giving an invoice. I had all the material so he did not have material expense. His crew didn't put the scaffolding away when they took it down like I had asked, they left it lean against a tree. I finally got an invoice for just the part of the job they had finished and paid it. He never came back to do the sofit and facia. He stopped answering calls and didn't return calls so we had to find someone else to do it.

Finishing work leaves a lot to be desired. The crew removed my gutter guards, and when we called about them putting them back up, (my father called) Cory told him that he'd told me they were all broken. He had told me no such thing. They were perfectly fine, which I discovered when I put them back on myself. While I was putting on the gutter guards I discovered mortar and debris (nails) in my gutters that I cleaned out. Again, Cory had told us the gutters were clean. The back of my tuck-pointed chimney looked rather sloppy, probably because they figured no one would climb a ladder and look at it. They also left their dumpster on my property for over a week. (Roof was put on, on a Thursday, and they came and got the dumpster only after we called them the following Saturday.) The crew managed to scratch my deck railing throwing down the old shingles, and there are tar marks from dropped shingles streaking my siding. A small thing, but the crew managed to bend my yard flag pole, and Cory said he'd tell them to fix it before they left. They did no such thing. I fixed it myself. It's just a case of, if you tell me you are going to do something, do it. But if you lie to me about it or just don't follow through, you're going to make me mistrust you. I think the crew knew what they were doing but they were also working as quickly as possible. A simple follow up call from Cory would have been nice, to see if I was satisfied with the work. Cory showed up in person to collect the check, it seems like maybe he could have also come by to check the work.Services: Roof installation

I think the crew who did the work knew what they were doing but they were also clearly working as fast as possible, so I worry they cut more corners I haven't discovered yet. ?

Cory showed up promptly when we asked for an estimate. Was thorough and gave us a ton of information. We were told it would be about a 10 day job (I work in landscaping I know some jobs end up taking longer) the job ended up taking maybe 6 months? We had to call one night to have them cover the roof due to rain coming, crew member put a foot through our ceiling, we had major water come through our living room ceilings while work was being done. Had to ask them to remove material that had fallen in our attic during work. We are still waiting for some touch up work on our over hangs to be done as we had concerns of how it was finished. Have not heard anything which we didn’t expect to anyways.

Our nightmare saga with Bruns roofing began in December 2019 when the company was hired to do a full roof replacement and replace three skylights. At this time, the crew was unprofessional, used deck mount skylights to replace our existing curb mount skylights (we were not asked, nor did we consent to this), used a grinder on the new windows to somehow make them work, and left the skylights uninstalled and open overnight during a cold December night. Not surprisingly, we were faced with major leakage during the first rainfall. Cory did return (weeks later) and attempt to fix the problem, but it remained unresolved. Issues continues for multiple months. Many texts were exchanged and there were multiple no-shows. Finally, in June/July 2020, the crew returned to replace the windows. Once again, there were no-shows, crews coming and going, windows left open for multiple hours during the heat of the day. The biggest issue we faced this time was a true bait and switch by the company. They showed up with new windows, took our old ones out, left the old ones on the front lawn for days where the killed our grass, and then—they reused the old windows! Once again we were not informed of this, nor did we consent to any of this. The company only confessed when we confronted them about this. Additionally, the job was left unfinished with exposed screws, screws sticking out, and an overall unfinished appearance. Cory then assured us that he would return and replace them as he had originally said he would. This process took multiple months, multiple text exchanges, and a few no-shows. Finally, in January 2021, Cory returned and exchanged the old skylights for new ones. Unfortunately, we are now experiencing more leaking and drippage than we have in months. In fact, my son’s breakfast was ruined this morning because of water falling from the sky onto his plate. At this point, we don’t know where to turn. Additionally, the interior appearance of the skylights is utterly embarrassing. In addition to flaking paint and drywall due to months of leakage, there are also exposed screws, bulging caulk, haphazardly installed trim, and an unfinished appearance. I would not recommend this company to anyone and I wouldn’t wish this experience on my worst enemy. I will be reaching out to the BBB, state attorney general, local contractors, and other entities soon to report these problems. My husband and I have multiple months of texts, photos, and videos. I can attest that my review is 100% true and accurate.

Great job. Crew was polite, professional and experienced. Cory made sure everything was being handled to my specifications. Quality work was completed in a timely manner.

Took months to put to put our roof on. His employees were the ones who actually put the roof on and Cory was rarely there. The roof leaked over the bathroom after it was finished 3 different times and we had to wait days for Cory to fix it each time while the rain water ruined our new bathroom ceiling. Now we are remodeling our front room and the roof sheeting has molded due to improper roof installation. I called Cory to give him an opportunity to come fix this. But he can’t come for weeks. Cory stated his employees must not have “iced and watered it”. Had Cory been there to oversee the installation he would have known what was and wasn’t done. Since Cory could not come in a reasonable time, I asked for the money to pay our new Contractor to fix Cory’s mistakes but he declined with swear words. He was also very unprofessional on the phone about the situation. We spent the extra money on a metal roof expecting it to have a lifetime of 40 years. Now we are told by our new contractor that the whole house roof fasteners should have had rubber grommets and they do not. Now we are spending additional money to repair this plus the potential cost of attorney fees.

Cory and his crew did an excellent job, quick and on time. I left a message to get a quote and within a few hours, scheduled an appointment. Took only one day to complete the whole roof including clean up. I would highly recommend Bruns Renovations, Roofing & Inspections to everyone for fast friendly service with exceptional workmanship!!!
