“I came in as a walk-in to fix a mistake by the person who usually cuts my hair (she buzzed my head for some reason when I’ve never done that before). Kenny was very welcoming and made sure I was taken care of right away. He sat me in his chair and took his time giving me a fade that made my buzz cut look intentional. “Honestly, this review is long, long, LONG overdue. You see, I've been going to Artur's for almost a decade now - and I have the Resurva appointment records to prove it. It's about dang time I glaze the heck outta this incredible barbershop.

My go-to barber is David. It is rare to find a barber who combines technical skills with great communication and genuine empathy. David never disappoints, is equally comfortable conversing (about a wide range of topics!) or in silence, and he is simply unequaled at making one feel comfortable from the moment a customer walks through the door.

He is always very friendly and professional, even when I'm self-conscious about some... skin/scalp issues. He either never brings it up, or he goes out of his way to politely recommend another option if what I ask for might not be the best/right choice. You don't want a blatant yes-man when it comes to appearance, and I truly believe David does his best to walk the line between giving the customer what the customer wants + trying to actually act in the customer's best interests.

Big picture, David is an S-tier option. I've also had my hair cut by Artur himself once or twice, and he is awesome as well. Just make sure you have cash + make an appointment; there's an ATM in-house, and I'm not sure if appointments are required post-pandemic, but it's better to go through the shop's site and make one. Artur's is a fairly well-trafficked barbershop.
