My ShitZu is a handful and I have gotten nothing but great care for him from each vet that he has seen at this facility. Everyone is good at their job here! Sarah at the front desk is amazing at remembering details and the techs in the back are quick and kind with my monster.
I take my French bulldog to see Dr. Adam and can't recommend him enough. He always takes his time while visiting with us and explains everything thoroughly. I feel my pet is in great hands and that I am not being taken advantage of when it comes to paying the bill.
Best Experience ever- We rescued a young rambunctious large Cane Corso named Storm. Took her to a vet I have been using for 20+ years- we took her in for a tear on her ear, I told the doc, we needed some ear wash, ( and I would clean her ear out,) shots, bloodwork etc. We get there, she's fine. The tech and she were getting along great. He was sitting on the floor with her playing with her then the Dr. came in- took a look at her and tossed a treat at her. Storm sat back and looked at her. The doctor came over and started grabbing at her head, no introduction So Storm Reacted and swung her head around, did not bite her, the doctor panicked and wanted to Muzzle her. I get it, its for everyone's safety, and Storm is powerful. So we muzzled her. They took her to the back room, restrained her and put a towel over her head. Got her shots, 1 of which I did not want her to have. Then they sent us home with sedatives and instructions to bring her back for a check in two weeks, sedated. And also bring her in randomly to get her used to the office, we did. No problem, This we did. The next visit was not much better- - don't know what they did to her in the back room at the last visit, but Storm would have none of it. Sent us home with more drugs. etc.. They did not charge us for the visit, Shocking, because they always find a way to get money... o wait, they did charge us for the drugs... We decided we wouldn't be returning. We decided to take her someplace where she would not feel threatened. My dog Sitter recommended AMC. We Brought her here, to a Non corporate owned vet, she was fine, no sedating no muzzling nothing.. She was relaxed, not scared and not nervous. We were in the room with her when they took blood, examined her completely, she was great,-panting, but that's it. Dr. Adam Deeke is an amazing Doctor. He was so gentle and kind to her. The whole staff was aware of her size and needs, that's what vets are supposed to do, care for their patients, assess the needs of their patients, respond accordingly. Not like the other place, who branded her a monster, and were almost mean and rude to her and us. Yes, she is a large and formidable creature who could harm you if you approached her aggressively, no lie, she is a freight train with paws, and a heart as big as the world. I am grateful for their respect of her size, and seeing beyond it!!! And am appreciative that they do what they do!!! Love AMC, recommending to all I know!!
