I wish I had checked these reviews before I hired Sears. Every one star review is accurate and this is not the same level of service we had a few years ago. Last week I had a working dryer that made noise. The clothes still got dry. One of the Sears idiots took it apart, left it, and Friday the second idiot said idiot 1 misdiagnosed the problem and ordered wrong parts. Now we have no dryer until Thursday and idiot two left the floor covered in old parts and packaging. There is no way to reach a live person. I got past the chat-bot one night at 10:30, but all I got out of that was another 800 number. This place is terrible. They are not owned by Sears anymore but use the same failed business model. STAY AWAY.
Only a few sentences.....Stay away, stay far, far away. No ability to speak to customer service, missed repair appointments, no communication and they generally do not care. DO NOT USE !
UPDATE: Persistent issues with duplicity persist. "Never mind the truth..."I feel compelled to provide an update on my previous review regarding the ongoing challenges I've faced with Sears Transformco, as the situation has unfortunately taken a very troubling turn.Recently, I received correspondence from Sears-Transformco acknowledging the existence of an active and valid warranty on my appliance, contradicting their earlier denials, which were endlessly repeated in all of their emails and in their responses to regulatory agencies, Attorneys General, and the Better Business Bureau.This acknowledgment should have marked a positive step toward resolution and accountability. However, instead, Sears-Transformco has chosen to alter its shifty narrative and misrepresent California warranty law in its exhaustive efforts to evade responsibilities as a California retailer under the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act.Slippery like a snake... Down a treacherous slope.When I provided them with clarity on the law, including the explicit plain text that outlines their obligations, the response was a childish arms-folding posture, explicitly stating they would not respond to me like a two-year-old toddler having a tantrum.Nevertheless, their ridiculousness doesn't intimidate or sway me from pursuing justice in this situation; on the contrary, it only serves to strengthen my resolve.Although it's disheartening to witness such a complete lack of commitment to customer service and a total absence of integrity, such greedy selfish ways will ultimately be their downfall. Again.My recent exchange demonstrably displays unethical conduct and deceptive practices that are seemingly rampant. Sears-Transformco's continued refusal to address the issue in an honest, substantive, and lawful manner (and this last convo was courtesy of their "legal" department!) only serves to highlight a deep disrespect for consumers and the law, even in situations where they are legally obligated to stand by the products they sold.The moral of the story - whatever sale they may flash, I can confidently say that you'll pay for it later! There is zero value with Sears post-purchase. A sad demise from the family-oriented neighborhood anchor they once were. Gone are the days...In sum, I urge consumers, if you are even slightly considering buying any products from Sears (aka "Transformco") or looking to hire service for home or appliance repairs - if you value post-purchase support for warranty issues, honorable business practices, and upstanding customer relations, you won't find it here. Instead, you will have no choice but to endure being treated like an unwelcome buttercup, spoken down to by condescending reps, erroneously mansplaining laws they clearly don't understand or don't care to abide by, and all you will be left with are useless broken machines.Sound fun? Then, by all means, choose Sears (or whatever they call themselves next week after the next bankruptcy).Or, on the other hand, you could run as far away as you can from this gaggle and find plenty of reputable companies and reliable retailers that demonstrate a genuinely legitimate commitment to ethical business culture and law-abiding behavior.
