“BEST BARBER IN ILLINOIS!!! I moved to Chicago from California (The Bay Area) 4 years ago and have been going to Jae for about 3 of those years now. He’s amazing!!! Every cut is done with precision no matter what I’m wanting to try. He kills it every time! He’s a real professional who makes sure you leave his chair feeling and looking better than you did when you walked in. The service and atmosphere of his shop are unmatched that I actually travel about an hour and a half on the train just to keep going to get my haircut from him because nobody does a better job. I could go to a shop much closer, but to me it’s 100% worth the journey year round!

“First experience at this local barber shop. I arrived a few minutes (2) late, and it was not an issue at all. Not confrontation. Elijah asked how I wanted my hair done, and I showed him photos saved on my phone from how my barber on the northside of Chicago would cut it - high fade with finger length scissors cut on top. He finished the haircut in 35 minutes and was very swift yet thoughtful in his approach. He asked me questions in a conversational manner in the beginning but it didn't distract from the task at hand. This is a great local spot worth considering for a haircut. Lots of younger children with parents, those in their 20's, and above 30's - like me! Thanks again.“

Specialties: They specialize in beards. Wax. Haircuts. My son and I only come to Icey cuts for haircuts.

Hair type: I am bald with a faded beard and I am also an actor. When I went on set the hair and makeup department panicked because my beard was too good and they couldn’t keep it the same for all the different days we worked. So they paid for my haircut 5 times in 2 weeks and we’re very impressed with my barber Stevo at Icey cuts

Stylist: I am bald but they styled my son’s hair after the trim and made it look so good for his uncles wedding. My son got so many compliments on his haircut.“
