Working with Joel and Unique Deck Builders has been one of the best construction project experiences we're ever experienced. We had to have our deck torn apart and removed to fix a bad roof on a small condo building in Chicago. Joel removed the existing deck and salvaged as much of the materials (mostly outdoor kitchen equipment) as possible, and then entirely rebuilt our rooftop with new Deckorators composite decking and the salvaged items. Like many other reviewers, we began our project with one of the big Chicago deck companies and parted ways when the final contract was unduly six figures more than the initial quote/communicated budget.
