My path first crossed with Mr. Cohen when we were trick or treating in the downtown area where his studio is located. He was taking complementary pictures of the kids in their costumes. Then we actually won a gift card toward the cost of pictures (for guessing the correct weight of a pumpkin!) Our first session was for my grand-daughter--and I cannot tell you how gorgeous those pictures came out. So, with the first experience out of the way, we jumped in with a request for family portraits (Four Generations). They were absolutley lovely and he handled the kids with grace and calm. Mr. Cohen is now our go-to photographer. You will not be disappointed!
I needed a headshot for business. We all know there exists an image of ourselves that matches what we see in the mirror. Yet somehow most photographers completely miss it. And it's not that they aren't technically competent -they all use the same equipment.
But it's the smile not reaching the eyes. It's the over-posed and unnatural positioning. It's straining to hold an expression. Or the over use of editing. A good headshot needs to look effortless while also capturing your best. Most of a good photograph takes place in front of the camera. In all this, Jeff is a master of his craft which even extended to the final image selection.
