He built my home and did a horrible job. His subcontractors made so many mistakes and I ended up with water damage due to improper work. It caused black mold and lots of health issues for my family. He refused to fix it and told me to deal with it. My attorney then told me he is so connected in southern Illinois I would spend more time and money fighting than fixing it and with the health issues that happened we had no choice. Please NO ONE HIRE STEVE SKAGGS! He does not stand by his company's work in any way. This cost our family a fortune and caused me long term health issues.
Steve Skaggs was flipping a home at 1504 Miller in Herrin Illinois and put it up for sale. I was going to purchase the house and put on a contract. However, when a home inspection was done it seems there were major problems with structural damage and electrical problems and plumbing. There were also issues with mold and mildew found. Steve refused to fix the major problems or did it incorrectly and I legally backed out of the contract. I am a disabled widow of 66 and Steve Skaggs STOLE my $2,000 earnest money.
