Dr. Merritt was not the one scheduled to deliver my daughter but happened to just be the doctor on call. The nurses had to wake him up from sleep and he looked visibly irritated to even have to be awake but he started to scrub up as I was literally crowning. The a nurse comes in and says that the lady in the next room is also crowning so he LEFT my room to go deliver the baby in the next room. There was no doctor present for my delivery whatsoever. The nurses delivered my baby and she was born with shoulder dysplasia/erbs palsy because the nurses had a hard time getting her out.
