I had used Merry Maids in St. Charles, Illinois for many years. The price kept increasing (like everything else) but the most recent increase was extremely high, especially for my services. I never felt they cleaned adequately -- too fast and missed several places. Then they really changed their cleaning routine. Used to do a hands and knees floor cleaning including the baseboards with soap and water. Now they use a feather duster on the baseboards and a swiffer on the floors. That's not cleaning in my book. Huge rate increase 2 years in a row, during difficult times. They should be ashamed for raising rates over 15% when even the horrid inflation rate is half of that. That is UN-AMERICAN, to pile it on just because they can. We'll see how many people do what we have done after many years as a customer.........ADIOS muchacho.

Horrible. Engaged for a deep clean. 3 ladies show up and left within 2 hours and did nothing of value. Seriously - dust still on fireplace mantle - dust on top of cabinets, dust on all legs of tables/chairs and window sills. Smeared counters. We had some painting done in the house and wanted to have corners cleaned and needed more than a 'normal' cleaning service - and thought a deep cleaning service offered by Merry Maids of Geneva would be great. Would not and cannot recommend. Too many other options in the market that provide motivated, engaged cleaning team members. Still in trouble with my wife for selecting this group. Sad, but people need to know.
