The instructors are nice. Unfortunately, the program is unorganized; it lacks structure and consistency. In addition, the communication surrounding class activities, test dates, and events is always last minute or non-existent. The venue is also quite small. My son participated in the program for over a year…simply not worth it. We had to find another program to fulfill his martial arts interests. It would benefit the school if they actually surveyed the patrons. I’m sure they’d be surprised to hear some of the feedback. Jang’s Yong in Martial Arts is in dire need of a “program makeover” and a revamp. The 5 star reviews are all over 5+ years. 😔

This is a place where you can learn Hapkido in a warm and inviting environment. Here, Master Jang and Master Russom care about your personal growth and invest so much time in all of their students. I feel like I have made the best decision in deciding to join and I encourage others to do so. The schedule is extensive and the prices are fair. If you are looking for a place to learn martial arts look no further, you've found the place.

I've been wanting to get into martial arts for a very long time. I'm so glad I found Grand Master Jang's school. Not only do I feel better prepared to defend myself, I find myself feeling less stress throughout my busy week. I've learned more about the human body in this class than I did in school. I have gained a second family here because everyone wants to see each other succeed. The higher-ranking belts go out of their way to help everyone else. The location is absolutely perfect. Parking is very easy to find. Joining this school is honestly one of the best decisions I have made.

I joined Jang's Martial Arts two years ago when I moved here for school. I originally joined because moving to a new area, I wanted to learn how to defend myself if needed. Not only did I learn a new art but also I met some of the most supportive people I have ever met in my life. Master Jang teaches us how to be smart of our surroundings and each time has wise words that go beyond hapkido. I am very blessed to have found this gem in forest park.

Master Jang is not only a martial artist of the highest caliber, she is also an incredible teacher. She has an amazing talent for teaching, both adults and children. Children seem to love her.Master Russom and the other instructors are likewise talented in both aspects.Children will focus on taekwondo, with a some practical self defense included. Adult classes focus on hapkido, which is as practical and real-life self-defense as it gets. This is the real deal - you will learn to take care of yourself.One thing that always strikes me about Jang's is that isn't just a business - Master Jang and Master Russom have a passion for what they do and they truly care about their school and their students. If you stay very long, you will soon find that the school is as more like a family.
