I love this place I have learned a lot here and the people are nice. Not too intense but still teaches discipline and some good skills to have. I recommend trying the 2 day trial and trying this class for at least a year it’s really fun
I’ve been training at Academy of self defense for a while and I’m constantly impressed with the quality of the instructors. Their knowledge and quality of teaching is unmatched as they are dedicated into helping each and every person that walks through the door and helps them accomplish what ever goals they have in mind.
Great gym, I’ve been training here consistently for almost 3 years and every time I’m there I have a great time and learn a lot. Instructors are very well trained and extremely knowledgeable, plus are happy to be teaching which you can tell by the amount of effort put into classes and openness to questions or helping you improve in specific ways. As a girl too I’ve always felt safe and comfortable partnering and sparring with the guys. And if you’re competing the instructors try hard to help make you as prepared as possible as long you put the work in, which I experienced myself. Overall great place, whether for hobby or competition.
