Founder and Acupuncturist Heidi Sauhammel Marinoff uses a personalized approach, incorporating acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, nutritional guidance, lifestyle recommendations, guided meditation and breathwork. Heidi is a very gentle, intuitive, and thoughtful practitioner who is truly skilled and gifted at her craft. Her holistic treatment approach focuses on the individual as a whole person and she really listens to your needs. Patients leave feeling more rejuvenated, energized, lighter, and well taken care of, having seen and felt multiple shifts. The clinic's beautiful, calming environment and easy online booking system contribute to a positive experience. Body Chemistri is an in-network provider for BCBS PPOs and accepts HSA payments.
Heidi is an excellent acupuncturist, who accurately diagnosed my pain and provided treatment that was immediately helpful for my condition. She came highly recommended, and during my first session impressed me with her knowledge and experience. My own doctor said I should consider acupuncture before getting cortisone shots, and he was right. As I would expect, Heidi's office is clean and neat, with a very peaceful atmosphere. Trust is critical in any professional relationship, and she has mine. I can only give her an excellent review
Heidi helped my body to recover from a debilitating injury. Her Evanston office is accessible with ample parking. As part of the treatment Heidi opens the conversation and include all aspects in her treatment. Heidi is highly professional and I always felt safe and respected in her care.
I received an amazing acupuncture treatment with Heidi at Heartwood in Evanston recently and I definitely plan to be back. The healing center where she has her office was relaxing, inviting, and very conducive to unwinding. After discussing some of my medical history and my intentions for our work, Heidi skillfully used palpation techniques as well as her extensive knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine for our session.
