Great spot, old school craftsmanship, will take care of you. I read a review that suggested for the 50+ crowd, not sure I'd agree with that. It does have a more classic feel which I personally find preferable. They do "generally" only cut by appointment, but they will fit you in if they can on a walk-in basis.

Best place to get a haircut. Steve does a GREAT job!!! The prices are reasonable and it's an Elgin super spot. I've been going there for years. I went to one of the other hair places for guys but Ralph's is the best!!!

Steve has been cutting my hair since the mid 80’s, and still to this day, even after I moved much further away 15 years ago. Ralph is legendary RIP, and Steve is excellent. Great barbershop vibe and excellent haircuts time and time again without fail. Bonus is the DQ next door after my cut.
