We hired Pauli Builders to finish a pole barn into a Barndominium. Fortunately they sent us Brad and Chris who are excellent and meticulous about their work. They take the time to be sure the work is done to perfection and always checking in with us if they have suggestions or questions. Super nice to work with and took great care of our property leaving everything clean at the end of the day. Additionally, the OWNER comes out at the project completion and looks over every square inch of the work and marks down anything he sees that needs touch up. He was even pickier than I am and that's a lot! Do not hesitate to hire this company for your home. We very highly recommend.

S.F. Pauli did a great job in our home. They were easy to work with from start to finish, they responded very quickly to questions and concerns, and performed high quality work. We really appreciated the professionalism and courtesy of the carpenters who worked in our home. I highly recommend them.

We were very please with the multiple jobs that they did for us. The people were great - professional, prompt and reliable. The work was completed on time and within budget. We would definitely use them again

Did estimate twice. Needed 30% down to order door. Signed contract and paid down payment. Within a weeks time, they wanted a 40% increase in estimate to do job. These type of tactics are used to take advantage of customers. Still waiting on refund but told it is mail.

The owner is a jackass and the staff members are few marbles short of a full sack.

Communication, Project Management, and Customer Service are foreign words to this company. Under no circumstances are they to be hired to remodel your bathroom! It took them six months from the signing of the estimate and initial down payment (a third of estimated costs) before they started work, and then with only 2 days notice. Their first project after demo, was to cut and install a new window. The only requirements I had; Solid window, frosted. Specifically, NO SLIDER (I just wanted it for the light). The outside framing had to be the same as the other windows (I live in a condo and there are rules regarding the outside appearance). All of this was documented in emails months earlier. I came home from work and a SLIDER was in place and the outside framing looked nothing like the window next to it. It took them an extra day to move the window to comply with condo standards. But, the window is now too low. Still a slider because, "It would take too long to order another."Not frosted, and the siding was damaged. It cost me $2,234.75 to have another company repair the siding after I kicked them out. Next phase was the tiling of the shower and wainscoting the walls. The tile guy they hired never planned the layout. Just started slapping tile up. The grouting was so sloppy that the walls looked like they were bleeding. And get this, the window jam was left raw (untiled and unusable). When I asked the project manager about it. In his words, "It was never planned."I kicked them out after that and completed the bathroom myself. I had to hire another company to finish the window jam at my own expense. One last exceptional thing! We had talked about an Onyx brand vanity top. This is a custom made, one-of-a-kind item. Several specifications are required to order one. After I suspended their work they ordered the top anyway! The cabinet had not arrived. They did not take a single measurement. Then they wanted me to pay for it because, you know, it's a one-of-a-kind item and they can't return it. When I refused! They put a lien on my condo. I ended up having to pay for it and throw it away because it didn't fit. DUH! They charged me over $1,300 for a $600 vanity top Please, I beg you, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES use these guys."A company that can't stand on their quality. Stands on their liens."If this site review will allow me to include my email address. Please feel free to contact me and I will send you pictures and give you the full story. Otherwise, Good [email protected]

Communications were very slow, but at this time, most businesses are short staffed. Pauli is listed on Andersen's site as a Certified Contractor, and it was for this reason I selected them. The crew that arrived to install the replacement window sashes had never done the work. I was able to locate a video on Andersen's site showing the procedure, but even then I had to make a few suggestions about the installation. One of the weather seals was damaged after they didn't follow Andersen's instructions, but it feels as if it is sealing. The price was decent, and I like the new windows, but it wasn't the most reassuring process.

Pauli Builders worked on a complicated project for us that included moving a door, removing a portion of wall, and both carpet and tile flooring. They worked hard to match flooring with the surrounding area and everything turned out great! Easy to work with and provided so much expertise to make our project a success.

The guy's that do the actual work are good but the management is horrible!!!! Matt the project manager is a liar and will not return phone calls for over 3 weeks. They left my house with water damage to a ceiling and floor and refuse to fix it.

The plumber working with this company would not let us know when he was planning to be there. Wouldn’t call to let anyone know that he couldn’t make it. And, charged us for those supposed times he couldn’t get any one to answer the door! In the mean-time; I had to hire another plumber, who, told me the cost upfront. Made a schedule and let me know when he planned to be there. He contacted me as he was on his way. Did the work, cleanly, finished it in two days! Then, sent me an itemized list of what it cost him to do it. I gladly paid him. But, now, Pauli Builder’s is threatening to sue me for charges of work they refuse to verify. I never said I wouldn’t pay them! I asked for cost list to see what they were charging me for. Plus, I gave them 30%, down to start the job! Jeremy L******* keeps sending a blank list of the proposed contract. Not an actual “cost list”. What it cost his company to seal up the dining room for demolition, ceiling tear-down, and hauled away debris, floor safety cover, installed 1dining room light, switch repair, line fisher, switch box, labor for electrical work, plumber cleared old water lines of debris, and left a leaky faucet that was actually, new, more work they could have gotten from us! I feel like I need help communicating with this company. I have pictures, videos and receipts to show what I’m saying. But, Mr. L******* refuses to show me verification of the $3385.00, charges. For, the above work just described. I still don’t have a ceiling! And, now, I’m afraid to go forward with this. I asked for verification of the charges and he says he can’t work with me. He’ll be asking his lawyer to deal with me!
