I have been a patient of Dr Alanis for about 10 yrs. I followed her to CGH. I've always had a very honest and understanding relationship with her and didn't expect that to change. However I was wrong. I have several health problems that causes me chronic pain. I have to take pain meds and knew that I was choosing quality of life over quantity of life. Dr Alanis had spoke to me about taking it responsibility and for it's intended purpose. I took just enough to make my life bearable.
Unfortunately her whole disposition on treating my pain has changed. I don't take powerful pain med. Although she knows that my condition is not curable, it just has to be pain treated. I've been through every kind of treatment available. She has started reducing my pain meds making it hard for me to function on a daily basis. There isn't any option for me to treat my pain. So after dealing with my condition for 20 years I am being told that I will have to suffer with my condition without the medication that has helped me. This is going to be a painful existence. I told her that I felt like discontinuing my kidney meds and go back into kidney failure. I don't want to live my life in pain and I know kidney failure will take me in a natural way. I don't want my family to see me in extreme pain and remember me that way. I don't have any say in the medicine I take but I can control what I don't take when my life becomes to hard to take. The doctor that used to listen and help me doesn't have any alternatives that will help. Yet she is taking away my lifeline. I posted this with a heavy heart. I feel betrayed and deserted to deal with pain that is inhumane. What should I do?

I absolutely 💯% luv the ladies up front their sooo helpful!! I also love ❤️ the nurse's they care just about me when I come in for an appointment and I truly appreciate that ladies.One BAD 👎 thing I do not care for is the nurse practitioner that I see!! (( My daughter want's me to switch doctors asap and I'm agreeing with her all the way.)) I have way to many medical problems that she really doesn't care to help me with even try that's just not a caring Nurse Practitioner and she not for me!!(( THE NURSE PRACTITIONER JUST SHOWED ME KINDA HOW BACK STABBING SHE REALLY IS, TELLING ME 1 THING AND I GET TO THE PHARMACY AND SHE SENT IN A 90CT OF A NONE NARCIC MED FOR MY MESSED UP BACK,BUTT WROTE THE SCRIPT WRONG AS IN TAKE 2 A DAY NOT 3 A DAY (( LIKE WE TALKED ABOUT IN HER OFFICE..SO THE PHARMACY HAD TO CALL HER OFFICE BCUZ THE SCRIPT WAS WROTE WRONG AND THEY HAD TO WAIT FOR ABIT FOR HER TO REWRITE AND SEND IT BACK TO PHARMACY!! (( WHEN I HAD GOTTEN TO THE PHARMACY, OMGOODNESS THIS NURSE PRACTITIONER LIED TO ME RIGHT TO MY FACE BUTT IT WILL BE THE LASTIME!! ((( SHE REWROTE THE WHOLE PRESCRIPTION TO NOW 60CT TAKE 2 A DAY AND I WANTED TO CALL HER AND JUST TELL HER WUT I THOUGHT ABOUT HER LIEING RIGHT TO MY FACE!))) SHE NEEDS TO BE TALKED TO ABOUT THE WAY SHE TREATED AND LIED... THANKS U SOO MUCH FOR LISTENING TO EVERYTHING THAT SHE HAS DONE WRONG!!

I couldn't have asked for better people that took care of me. From my surgeon to the CNAs to housekeeping, all were very caring and knowledgeable. They were all amazing before, during and after my surgery. ❤️
