About Wright Animal Hospital
Wright Animal Hospital, established in 1954, is a respected veterinary facility in northern Illinois that provides high-quality care for cats, dogs, exotics, and pocket pets. The hospital is certified in Low Stress Handling and designated as a Cat Friendly Practice by the American Association of Feline Practitioners, ensuring the best possible care for their patients. The staff is known for being kind, understanding, and professional, using a gentle and compassionate approach to both the animals and their owners. While some customers note that the office can be a bit disorganized and proactive reminders may be needed for vaccinations or tests, many express gratitude for the hospital's ability to address their pets' medical issues effectively. The commitment to patient care has led to a loyal customer base that recommends the hospital to others. Dr. Junkas and Dr. Erik, along with the accommodating receptionist Linda and the dedicated vet techs, have been praised for their excellent service, with many clients feeling reassured about their pets' well-being.
I have known Dr. Junkas for over 20 years. I wouldn't trust the care of my animals to anyone else. My dogs adored/adore her as well. The current dog even gives her hugs. She is kind, attentive and very knowledgeable. I have nothing but complete confidence in her. I agree with all the other reviewers, she is truly, truly the most compassionate vet I have ever known. I am so happy she joined Wright Animal Hospital all those years ago. And, she not only treats the animal, she treats the human. The entire staff at Wright Animal Hospital is FABULOUS!
I have my entire trust in Wright Animal Hospital. My cat is comfortable during the visits which makes me happy. He isn't exactly Mr. Warm and Fuzzy, but he's treated lovingly and he takes advantage of the additional ear scratches.
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr. Junkas and the entire veterinary staff.
Dr. Junkas is incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly takes her time with every visit. She never rushes and always answers all of my questions thoroughly, which means so much as a pet owner.
She has cared for my two dogs for the past 14 years, and I wouldn’t consider switching to another clinic—I trust her completely. That trust has been built over years of consistent, exceptional care.
The rest of the staff is equally amazing: always kind, helpful, and welcoming. This clinic genuinely cares about both pets and their owners, and it shows in everything they do. Thank… read full review
