So glad they are still going strong!

Ten years ago I lost my mother. And, as is the case with everyone, we were overwhelmed.

So when the hospital asked me what funeral home I was using I blurted out the only name I ever knew - which had turned into a national corporation, rather than a local. What that means is that they are expensive and use all of the laws of every state, not just Illinois.

We went outside and started calling around and found River Woods.

Thank God my mom hadn't been picked up from the hospital yet!

Kind and knowledgeable, they really did take care of everything - even holding Mom until out of town family could come.

River Woods Funeral Chapels went above and beyond for my family and I during one of the most difficult times of our lives. Bill and Claudia handled every detail with compassion, patience, and respect, which brought me real comfort during this difficult time. I can’t thank them both enough and would wholeheartedly recommend River Woods Funeral Chapels to anyone who needs someone caring in their corner and their services!

I cannot put into words how much the team at River Woods Chapels touched our hearts. From the moment we walked in, we were met with nothing but sincerity, respect, and incredible patience. Claudia and Bill are truly special people with such big hearts. They, along with the rest of the wonderful staff, made every step of the process clear and easy to understand. They stayed by our side and helped us with every single detail until the very end of their services. In a time when we needed it most, they treated us like family. We are so grateful for their warmth and care.
