About Ridgewood Memorial Park
Ridgewood Memorial Park, located in Des Plaines, Illinois, has been providing cemetery services for Chicago-area families since 1920. The grounds and mausoleum are kept very clean and well maintained, creating a safe and tranquil atmosphere. The staff in the office and grounds are very helpful and kind, assisting with burial arrangements and addressing requests with care. Visitors often notice the improvements made over the years, such as the raised and cleaned headstones and reseeded grass, which enhance the park's appearance. The chapel, where church services are held with Father Chris, provides comfort during difficult times. Overall, Ridgewood Memorial Park is appreciated for its caring staff, beautiful environment, and efforts to maintain a respectful and peaceful space for loved ones.
Very kind service and help with locating family and cleaning stones
The grounds are nicely maintained. When visiting Ridgewood, there is a feeling of peace and serenity. If there is a problem with an existing grave marker, the office is sensitive and responsive in caring for any issue. The entire office staff is pleasant to work with,; without exception. They went above and beyond to hunt down the burial plot of one of our fallen Korean War heroes, whose information was entered over 75 years ago and was not seemingly accessible. They took extra time and effort to hunt it down, much to the appreciation of the Veterans association documenting those we lost during that war.
Kudos to Dan at Ridgewood; he noted 3 headstones had shrunk into the ground, and with 15 minutes he raised the headstones and spread black dirt and grass seed in the areas around the 3 graves. Many thanks to Dan for being so accommodating and for his quick work.
