“To preface this, I have a long history with chiropractors. This is going to be detailed.
So a couple years ago I had a cervical disc replacement done to repair a pinched nerve that caused weakness. This was actually diagnosed by my previous chiropractor by X-ray!! But from that moment, he said he wouldn’t touch my neck. So I completed my surgery and PT and I looked around and the places that looked comfortable to me, they wouldn’t touch it either. I knew I just needed an adjustment because I was in daily pain. Not from the implant or surgery, but from the other existing problems I have had long before this surgery. I tried massage therapy and while nice feeling, it didn’t hit the spot.
A couple months ago, I was watching the Ring Dinger videos from Dr. Gregory Johnson and I thought, I wonder if someone near has gone through training for it. So I searched on the website who has been certified, not to get a ring dinger but if anyone is willing to spend the time and money to advance their education, it’s a good chance they know how to adjust me. That’s when I found Dr. Stewart! Score! So I emailed him and asked if he worked on people who’s had cervical implants from disc replacement and sure enough!!! I didn’t care he was in Dekalb. I knew the drive from Rockford would be absolutely worth it.
Our 1st appointment we sat down and discussed my surgery and the cause of the pinched nerve which is unknown given my history. His confidence eased my anxiety and I was comfortable enough to move onto adjusting.
He’s extremely gentle, caring, and precise. He adjusts around my implant which is what I’ve needed for so long. Last visit, he hit that spot in my neck my body needed for a very long time. It’s a spot I’ve dealt with on and off for the last 20 years and since then, life has been easier. The 45 minute drive is worth every single mile.
So if you’ve been in my shoes with a disc replacement, it’s worth it to have a sit down with Dr. Stewart to discuss adjustments! You won’t be disappointed!”
