Appointment required for most services. Queue to the dispatcher took 10 minutes, bring enough required documents, then they may send you to photo sectionor counter section. Enough seating available. 15 counters. Took 45 more minutes before we were called for permit test. After they verify documents, did vision test..Paid $20 to cashier. Took test on one of the 6 plus computers. Its a clean center. Parking lot was full.
I came in for an address change, and it was quick and painless. I love that people need to make appointments at the DMV now. It makes the process less anxiety-inducing. The staff was friendly, which was a bonus.
A pleasant experience for our family at the Deerfield, IL DMV with super helpful and friendly staff. What made the experience great here 1. Helpful and friendly people at each “station” (sweet greeter at the door checking paperwork; desk person verifying paperwork and answering questions; charming photo woman who noticed my hair was sticking out on the left side so I could fix it before being stuck with a bad photo; excellent driver’s license renewal person who made the process fun with nice customer facing demeanor and fun small talk; and finally the helpful and kind cashier who happened to notice we forgot to give him an extra form still in our folder which saved... read full review
