Don't recommend... different experiences, hugely negative, other family members agreed and have called n complained w zero results, the concern of manipulation and even the family member that interacts w the help has voiced concern and still nothing done.. could list tons more issues but why, if ignored and unresolved!! Be mindful these are elderly family members, who can't hear well or quick to get up and prove the issues they speak of. .. or brushed off as dementia, crazy , etc..

Just Wowwwww!!! Days after I wrote my review I got a knock at my door, I was barely awake and the girl who stays with the guy next door on & off needed to use my phone. Okay I thought she worked elsewhere, but turns out she works for the Homecare agency and needed to call off. Kudos Help at Home you wont give me a job as I had two virtual interviews, filled out numerous applications, and was given the run around and now this. Some clients in your agency went without help today or the office staff had to scramble to find help. She called the answering service around 7;45am, was fully dressed and here I am struggling to find a job wishing I could go make a difference in the lives of people. Yet due to the stupidity of this agency's former hiring manager with a grudge against me( Get over it & a life) this is the kind of people this agency hires. Wayyy to go and unbelievable. You don't give me a chance someone in their late 50s but you will jump circles for people who are younger and unreliable. Society is doomed for sure as people are getting older and these younger ones dont want to work. This person had no phone, or car on her and I could not get hired??? Unreal!!!! If this is what you want then good luck because you are gonna get more clients without service and this agency hires anybody with a pulse and who does not want to work. Real shame!!! Shame on you Help at Home!!!!

I would not recommend this Agency to anyone for care of their loved ones. HelpAtHome Decatur sends the most problem-plagued, troublesome worker-employees to care for our seniors in their homes. My friend, Janet L, had one of Help At Home’s employees stand in front of her opened refrigerator & freezer for 2 hours during an especially hot day this Summer. My friend was napping when the worker did this but the worker admitted doing it for over 2 hours “to get cooler” in the heat. Janet has a/c and fans running in her home so this was fully absurd for the employee to even do.
