SSM Physical Therapy Collinsville is a very professional and dedicated operation. I personally have been there on three different occasions for different surgeries and would highly recommend SSM Health Physical Therapy.

This is my 2nd week of therapy and I really enjoy going to therapy. Katie definitely listens to what I am telling her at my appointments and explains everything really well. I am already feeling less pain and more movement in my neck. Everyone there is really friendly and if you need therapy I would definitely recommend this place.

I'll try to keep it real and fair:I chose this place for my ACL surgery rehab because of its good reviews. When I called, they were nice and squeezed me in despite being busy. Since I've done physical therapy for my other leg before, I kinda knew what to expect. But the first visit seemed off because the PT didn't warm up my knee, which I know is crucial for ACL rehab. Then, it felt like she was more focused on the clock than on how I was doing. And exactly after an hour, she stopped my exercises! When I asked about using an ice pack, she suggested I do it at home, which led to my knee swelling up badly. I thought maybe I was being too quick to judge and decided to give them another chance. The second visit was with her assistant, who was nicer but still skipped the warm-up. I mentioned how my knee swelled up last time because we skipped the ice, and she agreed to use it. But again, it felt like they were watching the clock. She only put the ice pack on for 6 minutes and then rushed me out. They were also juggling multiple patients at once, which bothered me. That's new to me; I think one-on-one sessions are crucial. Eventually I learned that their heating machine has been broken for a while, but they weren't upfront about it. Then, they put a sign saying they were cutting sessions to 45 minutes due to staff shortages. It felt unprofessional to wait while seeing your PT or assistant help others and not getting proper attention. The place was smaller than their pictures made it seem, and it had a bad, depressing vibe. So, I decided to go somewhere else. The new place gave me the treatment I expected, just like for my other knee years ago: warm-up, cool-down, and muscle stimulation. I wish I hadn't gone to SSM in the first place; it set my rehab back two weeks. It's shocking how people can leave fake reviews about something as important as health. Maybe this place used to be good, but it was a terrible experience for me.
