I’m in Chicago for business on and off for the next couple weeks and I’m unable to go to my regular spot in Dallas until the end of the month. I called Talc + Tonic and inquired about a side burn and neck trim to hold me over. They said I could just stop by which I did around lunch time, and I took a seat in Anthony’s chair. Looking at myself in the mirror, I knew I needed more than a side burn and neck trim. I asked if he had time for a haircut. He did… I also ended up opting for a hot lather shave.

Visit to Chicago on business, by happenstance saw Talc & Tonic in the hotel lobby. I needed a beard trim and decided to book an appointment. Best decision I made for my self care! Anthony really took care of my request and provided great service and tips for my beard maintenance. Great young black man with skills! Highly recommend.

Kira was wonderful and extremely friendly! From the onset she was very good in asking exactly what I wanted, and helping me figure out some details on the exact look I was going for. She was able to visualize and execute it well, and I came out of the haircut feeling great. Moreover, I had some questions on how I can further my hairstyling goals (e.g. what products to use at home, how exactly I should dry my hair for the look I'm going for, etc.), and she was quite knowledgeable here. 10/10 plan on going back to her for my next haircut!
