Chicago Steamworks is hands-down the best gay bathhouse in North America—period, 10/10. (For context, Toronto’s SW takes second place, and Montreal’s G.I. Joe takes third). Among all the bathhouses I’ve visited across the continent, its overall quality, spatial design, and atmosphere are truly top-tier.
The first floor houses the locker rooms and wet areas, featuring a large pool, steam room, and dry sauna that are exceptionally comfortable to use. The second and third floors are dedicated to private rooms and play areas, with a layout that perfectly balances privacy and social interaction.
I had an extremely frustrating experience at this place. The line management is a mess, and they seem to intentionally slow down the sign-in process. Expect to wait anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes most of the time, which is unacceptable. What’s worse is that some people cut in line without any repercussions, and the front reception does absolutely nothing to address it.

I come down here frequently, at least 2-3 times a month from Milwaukee, always have a blast when I'm here. The hot tub is nice and relaxing, great place to watch for guys, it's quickly become my favorite place (except for the GH and the sling) to go and not expect anything (if I want something I'll go to the aforementioned areas or my room) always leave very satisfied as a bottom. This place absolutely blows the bathhouse we used to have here in Milwaukee out of the water
