About Physical Therapy at St. Bernard Hospital

The Physical Therapy department at St. Bernard Hospital has received overwhelmingly positive reviews from patients. Patients describe the staff as kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring about the well-being of their patients. One patient, whose daughter has ADHD and high anxiety, was impressed by the staff's ability to provide treatment without any issues, in contrast to their previous experiences. The patient was relieved to see their daughter sit calmly in the chair and allow the staff to examine her mouth and take x-rays. Another patient, who was recovering from a lateral meniscus tear, had a very positive experience with their physical therapist, Ruth. The patient praised Ruth's warm and inviting approach, as well as her ability to encourage and motivate the patient, even when they were reluctant. After just one month of therapy, the patient was already walking normally and could run comfortably by the end of the sessions. Patients also appreciate the staff's patience and willingness to explain things thoroughly. One patient, who is always in pain, found Ernesto to be particularly helpful and plans to continue the exercises he recommended. Overall, the Physical Therapy department at St. Bernard Hospital has earned the trust and satisfaction of its patients, who are grateful for the exceptional care and support they have received.

I drove 3 hours from home for a dental appointment for my daughter because she has ADHD and high anxiety and our local dentist had put her on a sedation only list (which they do not do) because she wouldn't let anyone work on her mouth. We were referred to St. Bernard from her dentist and I was a little nervous because I had never been and wasn't sure of the type of service/treatment she would endure. I was so shocked and literally almost in tears to see my daughter sit in that chair with no problems at all, and allow the staff to take x-rays of her teeth and examine her mouth to determine the treatment needed. Typically, there are two to three staff members in the room, including myself trying to hold my daughter down and keep her calm for services. I was so incredibly impressed! The staff was kind and was very knowledgeable. I will most definitely drive 3 hours again to come and see them. I wish I remember the two staff members names that assisted me, but I was extremely impressed and so very happy that I have found a place that knows how to service my daughter, without force and her leave with a smile on her face oppose to tears in her eyes. Thank you so very much!

I have a lateral meniscus tear (I believe). I was scheduled for three months of physical therapy with Ruth, and I have all positive feedback. When I arrived, I could barely put weight on my leg. She was always patient with me yet firm when needed. I’m a hard worker, but I complain and procrastinate about being active. Ruth noticed this and not only encouraged me but gave tough love if I was lollygagging. After a month, I was already walking normally, and near the end of our sessions, I could run comfortably...read full review
