About Pain Stop Wellness - Chinatown

Pain Stop Wellness - Chinatown is a wellness center that offers a positive overall experience, according to customer reviews. The massage therapist Fong is described as thorough and attentive, while the doctor is praised for being patient and effectively addressing the customer's SI joint pain through adjustments. However, one customer did experience mild side effects, such as dizziness, headaches, and neck pain, after the doctor provided a neck adjustment without prior discussion, despite the customer only seeking treatment for scapula and SI pain. The customer hopes to receive an explanation or solution for the unexpected side effects, but the doctor is currently unable to see patients due to a back injury. Another customer had a very positive experience with massage therapist Mike, who effectively addressed the customer's neck knots, a service the customer had not received at other establishments. Overall, Pain Stop Wellness - Chinatown seems to offer effective treatments, with some room for improvement in communication and managing unexpected side effects.

Great healing deep tissue massages! It can hurt a bit at times to get a deep tissue massage, but when I have deep issues it's the only way to release severe knots or strains (also has helped with migraine headaches). Sometimes the masseuses literally walk on your back. It can be hardcore deep tissue beat down, but it doesn't have to. Just ask your technician to be gentle and it is very relaxing. They are very intuitive to what your body needs. This is not a soothing spa. It is a therapeutic Chinese Medicine / Acupuncture and Chiropractor (with massage as part of your treatment) office. The set-up is like a giant loft with walls that do not go all the wall up to the high ceiling and curtains in the doorways. Yes, you do hear foot traffic from the hall or occasionally the other clients talking. This lack of total privacy does not bother me, so I am still giving it five stars.

Great place to get a message and they even have a doctor on site for consultation for chronic pain.
