I would give this place 10 stars if I could. I have had numerous wonderful experiences here. I found this mechanic while reading reviews from another shop in which a customer mentioned she came here after a bad experience at another shop. From the first phone call this mechanic has been incredibly kind and has gone above and beyond to take care of my car which unfortunately is very old and has a lot of problems. I’ve been going to John for about 10 years now, and I honestly wouldn’t trust my car with anyone else. He’s always taken great care of me, explains what’s going on in a way that actually makes sense, and never tries to upsell or pressure me into unnecessary work. You can tell he genuinely cares about his customers and takes pride in his work. Reliable, honest, and consistent for a decade (that says everything). Highly recommend John if you’re looking for a mechanic you can truly trust.
I've owned cars in Chicago for more than 40 years and been to a bunch of auto repair shops. Lincoln Park is by far the best! They're fair, great problem solvers, easy to talk to and all at a reasonable price. I won't even consider going anywhere else!
