I came here for free tea, actually. Ok not really, but they were having an open house night for Bronzeville and I came here bc they mentioned free tea. They have LOTS of teas and herbs here really, as well as soaps, incense, skin care, books, jewelry, crystals, and a really nice room. The room has cushions for sitting and chairs of course, a nice place to read, chat, relax, and of course, do yoga. It is also available for rent for gatherings, such as book clubs and I assume yoga/meditation classes. I saw a lady doing chair massages, $1 per minute. I am not sure if she is available all the time, or just for this event. I did not get one this time. The staff was friendly and informative. The tea samples were great, a nice mix, so I bought a small bag. They plan to have a small coffee/tea bar set up for purchase at a later time. This seems like a great place to chill out and relax in an urban, hectic environment.
I found this place on tik tok, I was looking for somewhere sacred and safe where I can be spiritual, get supplies, heal and more. Let me tell you I don't regret it one bit. Feb 2nd changed my life and perspective, Kaiya is a wonderful chaman she not only made me feel special but gave me words of life and confirmation while I'm going through a struggle. The Owner taught me how to properly dress a candle at the candle station which I appreciated and will use in my own practice. I also got to join the community pot luck which I really enjoyed while discussing the book recommended (the healing wisdom of africa). I was looking for a spiritual shop near Hyde Park, when my brother came across Haji Healing Salon. As we walked in, I knew this was exactly where I needed to be. They greeted us with cups of tea. Before showing us a tour of the store and yoga studio. On one side they had such a great selection of herbs, crystals, books, tarot/oracle decks, and more. And on the other there was a yoga studio which they said was used for yoga but also other practices too. I felt like a kid in a candy store after grabbing everything I needed, which was a little bit of everything. The owner of the shop and the employee were both such beautiful individuals and I enjoyed conversations with both of them. Definitely will come back and recommend to ALL INVIDIDUALS! Such a gem.
