Shout out to Ricky at the North Ave location! I walked in, he was running the location solo and fit me in between appointments, when he absolutely didn’t have to. He helped me pick out a new graphics card and RAM stick, as well as installed for me when he had free time. Really appreciate his attentiveness and expertise.
Once again showing magic as always, The Geek Squad respond to some uncommon issues with my computer. My computer is back to being fast and efficient all the time with uncommon great performance. Unable to gain traditional access to my computer via on-line connection, two Geek Squad members directed me to some system directories and then type in instructions to me using one on their on-line dialog boxes. The computer technicians provided very clear instructions. Instructions were very simple and language or communicaitons were concise and to the point. Within 3 minutes, the slow speed issue was eliminated. I encourage anyone who has not tried The Geek Squad do so with their next computer issue. These guys and gals are "Top Gun" quality. I also encourage any small business owner to purchase their 1 year help desk service. It will be money well spent and they are always available 7/24. You be glad you did.
Replaced a battery on computer same day I called. Staff was friendly, helpful and professional. The only glitch is you receive incorrect information when you call to set up an appointment. The customer service person said Best Buy sells batteries and the one I needed was in stock. Found out they don't sell batteries at all. So, had to order one and return the next day. Also quoted me the wrong price to install batteries. Would be very helpful if you actually spoke to someone at the actual location before setting up an appointment. When I questioned why I received inorrect information, was told those calls go to people all over the world and they don't know what we stock in our store. That's an issue, but doesn't have anything to do with the on-site staff.
