first experience visiting a barber shop and i’m so glad it was with FERNWOOD. this location is very no-frills and straight to the barbers craft - receptive to inspiration images with genuine excitement.
jorge’s passion and dedication to his craft was a palpable energy in the room - i will be returning as a regular for his expertise. it’s also great to see FERNWOOD supporting a younger generation of barbers and allowing them to flex their skills.
bravo - unlike any studio / shop i’ve found in chicago.

Love Fernwood. They are super queer friendly, which I have not found to be the case in every barbershop in the city. Definitely a good place for women who prefer a masculine cut. I've gotten cuts from multiple barbers and the quality has been consistent. The music and vibe is always on point.

My boy Ethan always coming in clutch with the fresh cuts. He's been working here for a bit now and can see him improving through the years. I had Tony for a while too and he was always super precise. Everyone is always super kind and welcoming when you walk in which I particularly appreciate. Fernwood will be my go-to for a good while.
