I love this nail salon! One of the or the best in Chicago! I had gone here a few times before I moved here and always had a great experience. Once I moved here, I noticed the reviews had gone down and so I stupidly went to a bunch of other salons rather than just trying this place again, myself. Well, I needed to get a mani pedi on Memorial Day after guests in town and before flying out for a wedding. It needed to be that Monday and they were open. I reread the low reviews and noticed they seemed random and nothing of concern. I just had the best gel mani/regular pedi here! Chin took her time and was absolutely meticulous. I accidentally messed up two of my toe nails transferring from the spa chair to the mani table ugh. She was so sweet and redid both toenails. My mani is absolute perfection and even though it was closing time, she did not rush at all. The shape is perfect and she was so thorough and gentle on my cuticles. I've had a hard time finding a good nail salon here (moved from San Francisco) and Chin did not skip or rush through any of the steps. Used alcohol each step of the way, all the tools were sanitized and clean, the nail files new, had me wash my hands before polish, and she touched up my nails with the file after she was all done with the gel to make sure they were smooth. Many or some of these things get skipped or missed at a lot of the salons in Chicago, which has been very strange to me. For me, nail salon quality in order of importance is: 1. Clean and clearly sanitizing tools, 2. Thorough on the cuticles & paint job, 3. Love a massage chair. This place hits all the marks. While Chin was working on me, the other two girls were sweeping the entire place thoroughly and mopped the floors-- it is obvious they keep everything very clean. This is my new (return) go to spot!
